Our client, LINEN, with close to 30 year experience in more than 46 markets, offices in 4 continents and an established reputation as one of top 5 animal & vegetable protein and fats trading companies in Europe, are looking for a proactive and hands-on experienced professional to join their team of “A” Players in the role of Chief Accountant.
Job description:
Group accounting processes
- Follow up & organise accounting daily operations for all group entities - ensure that all processes are aligned over all Group entities
- Process owner for all accounting related operations, how the whole process is organised and settled up and described in instructions & policies
- Process automation using different IT tolls- seeking for potential solutions together with Team(s)
- Internal education of accountants, tips & tricks, technical solutions as well as new accountants onboarding
Group accounting & reporting
- Process owner for Group month & year end closing procedure
- Group Finance data consolidation, consolidated Management reports, Budget vs Actuals reports and Annual audited Report
- Group level Sales and stock reports on a weekly basis
- Ad-hoc reporting
- Chief accountant for Group Parent company’s
Statutory & tax reporting
- Monitor tax compliance within Group entities in cooperation with outsourced service providers and entity accountant
- Lead audit process for Group and Latvia Trading companies
- Responsible for Groups Consolidated Annual report preparation and communication with auditors
- Review of Annual report for each entity
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in accounting/financial management
- Oriented towards process automatization & efficiency
- Strong computer skills, especially with MS Excel
- Strong written and spoken Latvian and English communication skills
- Ability to be creative and innovative
Nice to have:
- Team leader mindset
- University degree in accounting / finance / business management.
- Previous experience in accounting programs such as Horizon and MS Dynamics NAV or others;

Monthly Salary:
3000 - 3800 EUR Gross
